JV “GM-Auto VAZ” plans to manufacture three modifications of Chevy-Niva

JV “GM-Auto VAZ” plans to be producing three modifications of Chevy-Niva, reported the direction of the JV. In September 2002 the enterprise is launching the production of Chevy-Niva with engine and transmission produced by VAZ. By the end of 2003 the manufacture of an export-version of Chevy-Niva, equipped with the Opel Family I engine and Japanese transmission similar to the one installed into Suzuki Vitara will be started. In 2004 Chevy-Niva Wagon will be launched into production, and a year later – mini-van Niva Combo.
